Privacy Policy — Colors on the web
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This policy covers the Colors website and web app. The Colors iPhone app has its own policy. Colors is made by Tap Get, Paardekraalstraat 1 H, 1092 JA Amsterdam, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce 74884328), which is responsible for the processing this policy describes.
In one sentence: your camera, your photos and your answers in the colour vision game never leave your device, and we run no server that stores anything about you.
What stays in your browser
Everything you create in Colors is kept only in this browser's own storage on your device:
- Your answers and results in the colour vision game, and the names you optionally enter so several people can play on one device.
- Photos you choose to view, if you add any. Colors only ever sees the files you pick, and keeps resized copies in this browser.
- Settings, and how much of the free camera preview you have used.
- A random billing ID, shown to subscribers as a restore code.
None of it is uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with anyone. We cannot see it. Clearing this site's data in your browser, or tapping Clear all data in Settings, removes it.
Your game results are a playful estimate, not a medical measurement, and because they never leave your device we never receive or hold them.
Your camera
The live camera filter runs entirely in your browser, frame by frame.
- No frame, image or video is recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
- When you tap Share, the browser creates a single image on your device and hands it to your device's share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you choose a destination yourself.
Your browser asks before the camera is used, and you can withdraw that permission at any time in your browser settings.
What we do not do
Colors contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party trackers, and sets no tracking cookies. The only browser storage it uses is the on-device storage described above, which the app needs to work. We do not build a profile of you, track you across websites or sell personal information.
Subscriptions
If you buy Colors Premium, two companies are involved:
- Stripe processes the payment. We never see your card number. Stripe's handling of your payment details is covered by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat, our billing provider, runs the checkout and records the subscription so your access works and can be restored. It receives the random billing ID, your email address (for receipts and for managing the subscription), the purchase details, and basic technical data such as your country, IP address and browser. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Neither receives your game answers or results, your names, your photos or anything from your camera. Analytics and marketing-tracking features in the billing software are switched off.
We use this subscription data only to provide and support the subscription, and to meet tax and accounting obligations.
Hosting
The website is delivered by a hosting provider (currently Expo's EAS Hosting), which keeps standard technical server logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, to operate and protect the service.
Children
Colors is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Apart from the subscription data above, we hold no personal data about you. If you are in the EEA or UK you can ask us to access, correct or delete that subscription data, or object to its use, by emailing us. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If anything changes what leaves your device, this policy will be updated before the change ships. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
